On April 26, 1966, Sandy Yik-Lin Lam was born in the city of Hong Kong.

1982
Sandy attended Marynoll Secondary School and was a part time DJ and spokesperson at CR2.

1984
Sandy was a full time DJ at CR2, and signed up with Sony Records.

1985
Sandy worked at RTHK as a part time actress. Her first movie release was with Leslie Cheung. The movie was called Intellectual Trio. Her first album Love, I don't know was released. Sandy was the first singer to became very popular within a short amount of time.

1986
Sandy became the supporting spokesperson for a Sunday show. Sandy entered Tokyo Music Festival.

In May, her second album released obtained platinum status. Sandy's second movie Who's The Crook was released.

1987
In February Sandy's 3rd album Yik Lin was released. This album received double platinum status. Sandy was known as the singer that has created her own style.

In May, her first remix album (Yik Lin) was released.

In July, she released Gray. This song was placed number one in song chart.

In October, she released Project Gray 12", a double-remix. This song became the first Cantonese remix dance song. Sandy played in a series called Continuing to dance...

1988
Sandy sang the theme song for the Japanese cartoon Fong Tse Guk.

Sandy released another movie called Haunted Cop Shop II. This movie starred Jacky Cheung and Ricky Hui.

In June, her 5th Album Ready was released. This was the first Chinese jazz song in HK. From this, album reviewers gave it good reviews.

In July, Sandy signed up with WEA Records.

In Tokyo, Sandy performed with a Japanese singer.

In December, Sandy's 6th album City Rhythm Part I was released. Sandy also entered a another music festival.

1989
Sandy began her American Tour to Chicago, LA, Boston, somewhere, Toronto, Montreal. Sandy's 3rd remix album City Rhythm Take Two was released.

In September, Sandy was Danny Chan's guest in concert. Sandy entered an Asia Music Festival in Bangkok.

In October, City Rhythm II was released.

November, Sandy appeared in Lui Fong guest in concert.

Sandy appeared in another movie called Gift From Heaven starring DoDo Cheng and Joey Wong.

1990
Sandy sung a duet with a Japanese Singer in a Tokyo Japan music festival.

In February, Sandy represented Hong Kong to attend the Singapore Broadcasting company for their anniversary. Dick Lee from Singapore, Martin Reviera from the Philippines, Elfa Singers from Indonesia and Corlette from Australia.

Sandy in another movie released with Anita Mui and George Lam Strange World.

In March, Sandy released her 4th remix album Dynamic Reaction which was the number one dance song, and received platinum status.

Sandy started her North America Tour to LA, somewhere, Toronto and Vancouver.

August 8th, Sandy's released City Rhythm 3: Faces and Places.

Sandy Cooperated with Dick Lee in Asia Major. The song was Lover's Tears.

Japanese people finally accepted her. In December, she released first Mandarin album Home again without you, which sold 600,000 copies.

1991
In February, Sandy released Dreamt, Crazed Tired released in Hong Kong.

In June, released in Japan. Sandy's Best Remix album was released.

In July, the Sandy Live 1991 concert, all 6 shows were sold out. At the end, they added one more show for charity purposes and was sold out in 2 hours.

In August, the Remix Album was released. In September, the Sandy Live 1991 LD was released.

In November, Sandy signed up with Stardust Factory.

In December, Sandy performed in a concert in Japan, and all 4 shows were sold out.

Sandy was the first person to enter the Japanese music industry. The Wildflower album was released. The City Heart album also released in Taiwan. And the Sandy Lam Love Ballad Collection was released in Japan.

1992
In March, the Wildflower fan club meeting celebrated for the 8th album releases. There were 1,850,000 albums sold. It received 36 platinum status.

In April, Wildflower was released in Japan.

In May, a Guangzhou concert, all 3 shows were sold out. Tickets that were scalped were sold for three times as much.

Promise Me on J-Wave Top 100 billboard magazine placed 45. Moonflower J-Wave Top 100 billboard magazine placed 49. June went to visit China to visit the poor people. Press conference announcing Stardust and Capital Artist cooperating. July Taiwan concert full 2 shows. August, Tsui Siu Fong concert guest. Shenzhen concert 3 shows packed up. September Mid-Autumn festival appearance in Guangzhou. October represented HK in Toronto's Hong Kong Festival. The Come Back To Love album was released. Sandy charity concert Better Tomorrow

In October, Sandy was the first singer in the world using Sony's F7 Digital Effect recording in her album Come Back To Love.

In November, Sandy joined Rock Records.

1993
In May, continuous for three years, Sandy has received the best female singer.

Taiwan released Doesn't Matter Who I am.

In the July Concert 1993 in Hong Kong. 10 shows were doing very well but not all shows were sold out.

In August, China Concert.

September Karaoke MTV LD released.

In October, Sandy appeared in a commercial advertisement for vegetable noodles.

Sandy appeared in the Tokyo concert and released the Japanese single Dakaratte.

In November, Hong Kong the Hinting single was released in Taiwan with Wind, Fire & Sea in concert.

Sandy released a mandarin single, Hinting & Spring Rain.

In December, Sandy had a concert in Tokyo, Osaka.

1994
In January, Sandy released her second Japanese single, Doshiteyo.

In March, Sandy released another Japanese album, Simple.

In April, Sandy sang the movie theme for 20 Something, I believe. The 1993 Sandy Live LD has been released.

Sandy went to LA to record another Cantonese album.

In May, Sandy sang a duet with Leslie Cheung, Naked Secret.

In July, the Sandy 94 album was released. August, Sandy prepared for the release of Open Up. Sandy also participated in a concert supporting aids victims.

September
She went to New York to record another album. She also went to Vancouver to perform at the Queen Elizabeth theater for Mount Saint Joseph Hospital.

October
A newspaper said that Sandy was the best female singer.

November
Sandy went to Chicago to open a charity concert. She represented Hong Kong to go to a Shanghai Asian Music Scene concert.

About Her Love Story album was released. The theme song Fragrance of Roses from the movie Red Rose, White Rose was released.

1995
In January, Love, Sandy has been released. In Singapore, the 1995 best female vocal and best album production was given to it.

1996
In January, Sandy released I Swear and Feeling Perfect.

1997
In January, A Wonderful World released.
